TECATE, Calif. — San Diego Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a previously deported sex-offender who attempted to enter the U.S. illegally Sunday morning.
On July 5, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Border Patrol agents patrolling the U.S./Mexico Border near Tecate, observed three people illegally enter the U.S.
Agents arrested, identified, and fingerprinted all three men on site. A subsequent records check revealed that one of the subjects, a 33-year-old Mexican national, had been previously convicted for sex crimes against a child.

The man is being held in Federal custody pending charges for felony illegal re-entry after deportation.
