U.S. Customs and Border Protection in the Pacific Northwest Announces New Twitter Account
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the Pacific Northwest announces the implementation of its new Twitter account. The U.S. Border Patrol Weekly Blotter for the Blaine Sector will now be available via a link on Twitter.
The purpose of the Twitter account is to better inform the public on the most up to date information about CBP matters, such as apprehensions, major incidents, and upcoming events, as well as information regarding agriculture, trade and travel.
Please follow us on Twitter @CBPNorthwest. You must have a Twitter account. There is no charge to create a Twitter account.
The Twitter account will be used as the means of broadcasting press releases to both the media and the general public. Anyone following the CBPNorthwest Twitter account will be notified of upcoming press releases.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation's borders at and between the official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.
