U.S. Customs and Border Protection Announces Change to Port of Buffalo NEXUS Lane Hours at the Rainbow and Lewiston Bridges

Buffalo, N.Y. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the addition of a NEXUS lane at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge for U.S. bound NEXUS traffic and a modification of NEXUS hours at the Rainbow Bridge. These changes were effective Dec. 17, 2012.

The Lewiston Bridge NEXUS lane for U.S. bound traffic is now available Monday through Friday from 7 to 9 a.m.

The Rainbow Bridge NEXUS lane hours are now Monday through Friday 6 to 10 a.m. The weekend and holiday hours for NEXUS at the Rainbow Bridge are 8 to 10 a.m.

Travelers are reminded that the NEXUS exclusive Whirlpool Bridge operates seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The Peace Bridge NEXUS lane hours remain the same at Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and weekend and holiday hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Port of Buffalo continuously monitors NEXUS lane usage and employs active lane management to meet traffic demands and ensure that NEXUS lanes have the shortest average wait time.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation's borders at and between the official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.
