SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO—U.S. Customs and Border Protection arrested Sunday a United States citizen with an outstanding arrest warrant for charges of illegal appropriation of a vehicle, issued by the Puerto Rico Police Department.
Orlando Perdomo-Ramirez, 38, residing in Caguas, Puerto Rico, was arrested by CBP officers at the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport, after arriving on a flight from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
"CBP officers' diligence and professionalism result in the enforcement of laws at our borders, ensuring that individuals that might be trying to circumvent the law are brought to justice." stated Juan Hurtado, San Juan Area Port Director.
The custody of Perdomo was transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) for further proceedings.
