BLAINE, WASH.—The information listed below is from arrests and seizures related to U.S. Border Patrol in the Blaine Sector area of operations. For security reasons, this may not be a complete list of enforcement actions.
03/09/2012 - A United States Border Patrol agent apprehended an individual who was walking in the Peace Arch State Park in Blaine, Washington after the park was closed. The subject, a citizen of El Salvador, had attempted to run back into Canada upon seeing the agent. The subject admitted to being illegally in the United States and was placed under arrest and processed for removal.
03/10/2012 - Agents apprehended a citizen of Mexico as a result of a vehicle stop in close proximity to the U.S. - Canada border north of Lynden, Washington. The subject, determined to be illegally present in the United States, was placed under arrest and processed for removal.
03/10/2012 - Agents received information from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police that an individual had entered illegally into the United States on foot. Agents responded to the area near Blaine, Washington and were able to apprehend the individual, determined to be a citizen of El Salvador illegally present in the United States. The subject was placed under arrest and processed for reinstatement of a prior order of removal.
03/12/2012 - Operators of a remote video surveillance system observed a subject cross illegally into the United States from Canada. Agents responded to the area, near Blaine, Washington, and apprehended a citizen of New Zealand illegally present in the United States. The individual, who had previously been removed from the United States for being a visa overstay, was placed under arrest and processed for reinstatement of a prior order of removal.
03/13/2012 - Agents observed a subject, later identified as a citizen of Canada, enter illegally into the United States in an area north of Lynden, Washington. The subject freely admitted to being in the United States illegally and was placed under arrest and processed for removal. A records check revealed that the subject had a criminal record in Canada for drug possession with intent to distribute.
