U.S. Border Patrol Weekly Blotter, Blaine Sector July 5 - July 11

Blaine, Wash. - The information listed below is from arrests and seizures related to the U.S. Border Patrol in the Blaine Sector area of operations. For security reasons, this may not be a complete list of enforcement actions.

07/05/2012- U.S. Border Patrol agents responded to a request for assistance from the Sumas Police Department regarding a subject who had fled after committing an alleged assault. The individual was located by agents in the woods nearby an R.V. park south of Sumas. The agents detained the subject until the Sumas Police Department arrived.

07/06/2012- While patrolling the border, agents encountered a subject riding a bicycle south from the international border east of Sumas. The bicyclist was determined to be a citizen of Canada and admitted to being in the United States illegally. The individual was placed under arrest and processed for removal.

07/08/2012- While patrolling the border, agents encountered two subjects walking in close proximity to the United States-Canada border west of Sumas. The first subject was determined to be a citizen of the United States. The second subject was determined to be a citizen of Mexico who admitted to being in the United States illegally. The individual was placed under arrest and processed for removal.
