BLAINE, WASH.—The information listed below is from arrests and seizures related to the U.S. Border Patrol in the Blaine Sector area of operations. For security reasons, this may not be a complete list of enforcement actions.

07/18/2013 - While patrolling the border west of Sumas, Washington, U.S. Border Patrol agents observed three people illegally cross the U.S./Canada border. The agents, with the assistance of a canine unit, located the subjects attempting to conceal themselves in a corn field south of the international border. All three subjects were determined to be citizens of India illegally present in the United States. The group was placed under arrest and processed for removal.

07/22/2013 - Operators of a Remote Video Surveillance System witnessed a group of people running southbound from U.S./Canada border northeast of Lynden, Washington. Agents responded to the area and located the three subjects hiding near a creek. All three subjects were determined to be citizens of India who were illegally present in the United States. All subjects were placed under arrest and processed for removal.

08/06/2013 - A Remote Video Surveillance System operator observed four people illegally cross the U.S./Canada border northeast of Lynden, Washington. Agents responded to the area and located the group in a nearby field. Agents determined the subjects to be citizens of Brazil illegally present in the United States. All members of the group were placed under arrest and processed for removal.

08/06/2013 - Remote Video Surveillance System operators observed two subjects running southbound from the U.S./Canada border and get into a vehicle northeast of Lynden, Washington. Agents responded to the area, stopped the vehicle, and determined the two passengers were Canadian citizens illegally present in the United States. The two subjects were placed under arrest and processed for removal. The driver of the vehicle, a United States Citizen, was issued a U.S. District Court Violation Notice for alien smuggling and the vehicle was processed for seizure.
