04/18/2012- Agents responded to a request for assistance from the Whatcom County Sherriff's Office in Ferndale, Washington regarding a subject they had detained. The individual admitted to being a citizen of Mexico illegally present in the United States. The subject had prior convictions for Driving under the Influence, Rape of a Child and was previously removed from the United States twice. The subject was processed for reinstatement of a prior order of removal.
04/23/2012 - Agents responded to a report from the operators of a remote video surveillance system that an individual was leaving the Peace Arch State Park in Blaine, Washington after the park was closed. Agents encountered a citizen of Canada illegally in the United States. The subject admitted to having just crossed illegally into the United States. The subject was placed under arrest and processed for reinstatement of a prior order of removal.
04/24/2012 - Operators of a remote video surveillance system observed an individual cross the United States - Canada border illegally and notified the nearest agents east of Blaine, Washington. Agents responded to the area and encountered a subject who was attempting to hide in the brush. The subject, a citizen of Germany, admitted to being illegally present in the United States and was placed under arrest and processed for removal.
04/25/2012- U.S. Border Patrol agents responded to a request for assistance from the Abbotsford Police who were in pursuit of three subjects suspected of multiple robberies that occurred in British Columbia, Canada. The Abbotsford Police were tracking the subjects and believed that they may have illegally entered the United States to escape arrest. Agents responded and located a Canadian citizen in a field just south of the international boundary. A search of the subject revealed he was in possession of an air soft pistol, a small amount of a white powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine and Canadian lottery tickets that were believed to be stolen earlier. The individual was processed for removal and remanded to the custody of the Canadian Border Services Agency.
