U.S. Border Patrol Blotter, Spokane Sector: November, 2014

SPOKANE, Wash. – The information listed below is from arrests and seizures related to the U.S. Border Patrol in the Spokane Sector area of operations.  For security reasons, this may not be a complete list of enforcement actions.

11/06/2014 – During normal operations near Spokane, Washington, an agent encountered a male subject that was a suspect in a vehicle theft. While talking with the subject, the agent contacted Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies. Upon arrival deputies were able to determine that the subject was the suspect that they were searching for and took custody of him.

11/09/2014 – While conducting normal patrol duties in the Colville Border Patrol station’s area of responsibility, agents encountered five male United States citizens near the U.S./Canadian border. During the encounter agents found foot sign (tracks) indicating that the group had crossed into Canada without inspection and returned to the United States in the same area without inspection. After determining that the group had inadvertently crossed the international border agents conducted record checks and released the hikers.
