Blaine, Wash. - The information listed below is from arrests and seizures related to the U.S. Border Patrol in the Blaine Sector area of operations. For security reasons, this may not be a complete list of enforcement actions.
09/27/2013 - U.S. Border Patrol agents responded to possible illegal cross-border activity east of Blaine, Washington. When agents arrived in the area, they witnessed a person riding a bicycle away from the international border. Agents questioned the subject and determined the individual to be a citizen of Canada who had illegally crossed the U.S./Canada border. The Canadian citizen was arrested and processed for removal.
10/05/2013 - A concerned citizen reported that someone had illegally crossed the U.S./Canada border east of Blaine, Washington. Agents located the subject attempting to hide on the caller's property. The subject, a citizen of India, was placed under arrest and processed for removal.
10/13/2013 - Operators of a Remote Video Surveillance System (RVSS) witnessed an individual illegally cross the U.S./Canada Border in Blaine, Washington. Agents responded to the area and located a subject matching the description provided by the RVSS operator. Agents questioned the subject and determined the individual to be a citizen of Honduras illegally present in the United States. The subject was arrested and processed for a prior order of removal.
10/18/2013 - While patrolling the border near Lynden, Washington, agents encountered a suspicious person in close proximity to the international border. Upon questioning, agents determined the subject to be a citizen of India, illegally present in the United States. Agents arrested the subject and processed the citizen of India for removal.
10/18/2013 - While conducting routine patrol operations in Blaine, Washington, agents noticed an individual walking south from the international border in an area known for illicit cross-border activity. Agents questioned the person and determined the subject to be a citizen of Canada, who had illegally crossed the international border. The subject was placed under arrest and processed for removal.
10/22/2013 - While conducting patrol operations, U.S. Border Patrol agents were alerted to possible cross-border activity in Blaine, Washington. Upon their arrival, the agent witnessed an individual walking on a trail that leads away from the U.S./Canada Border. Agents interviewed the subject in regards to citizenship and determined the subject to be a citizen of Cuba. The subject was arrested and processed for removal.
