BLAINE, Wash. – The information listed below is from arrests and seizures related to the U.S. Border Patrol in the Blaine Sector area of operations. For security reasons, this may not be a complete list of enforcement actions.
03/27/2014 – Shortly before midnight, agents encountered one person walking along a road not frequently used by pedestrians in close proximity to the U.S./Canada border near Sumas, Washington. Agents questioned the person and determined the subject to be a citizen of Canada, illegally present in the United States. The subject was placed under arrest and processed for removal.
04/01/2014 – A Remote Video Surveillance System (RVSS) operator observed a person cross the U.S./Canada border in Blaine, Washington. Agents responded to the area and located the subject, a citizen of Canada, illegally present in the United States. The subject was arrested and processed for removal.
04/06/2014 – A RVSS operator observed three subjects illegally cross the U.S./Canada border near Lynden, Washington. Agents responded to the area and located the group attempting to hide from agents behind a group of trees. All three persons were determined to be citizens of India, unlawfully present in the United States. All three were placed under arrest and processed for removal.
04/06/2014 – Shortly before midnight, a RVSS operator witnessed six subjects illegally enter the United States west of Sumas, Washington. Agents responded to the area and were assisted by a Border Patrol K-9 team. Agents located the group and determined all to be citizens of Mexico, illegally present in the United States. Record Checks revealed that one individual had been previously removed from the United States and was a documented gang member with criminal history. The six people were all arrested and processed for removal.
04/06/2014 – Agents responded to possible illicit cross-border activity near Blaine, Washington. When agents arrived in the area, they encountered three subjects in a heavily wooded area near the international border. The three subjects were determined to be citizens of Mexico, unlawfully present in the United States. All three subjects were placed under arrest and processed for removal.
04/06/2014 – A RVSS operator observed four subjects illegally cross the U.S./Canada border near Lynden, Washington. When agents searched the surrounding area they discovered the group sitting on the ground in a farm field. Agents questioned the subjects and determined all four to be citizens of India, illegally present in the United States. The group of four were all arrested and processed for removal.
