BOULEVARD, Calif.—U.S. Border Patrol, San Diego Sector agents thwarted a triple drive through incursion in Boulevard last Thursday.
On Dec.15, 2016, at about 9 p.m., Boulevard Station agents intercepted three vehicles loaded with human contraband as they made their way north into the U.S.
Agents immediately deployed a vehicle immobilization device on the lead vehicle, a white Toyota Sequoia. The second and third vehicles attempted to evade agents and return back into Mexico but were interdicted by agents.
In total, 25 individuals were arrested and three vehicles were seized. Five individuals had absconded back to Mexico.
The 25 individuals that were arrested equates to an estimated $150,000 in lost illicit proceeds for the smugglers.
