U.S. Border Patrol Agent Indicted

EDINBURG, Texas – United States Attorney’s Office in Houston indicted Daniel Polanco, a Border Patrol agent assigned to the Falfurrias Station Wednesday. Polanco was indicted for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance and was also charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.  Daniel Polanco has been employed with CBP for 9 years. Polanco surrendered to the United States Marshals Service and is now on leave without pay. 

CBP stresses honor and integrity in every aspect of our mission, and the overwhelming majority of CBP officers and agents perform their duties with honor and distinction, working tirelessly every day to keep our country safe. “We do not tolerate corruption or abuse within our ranks, and we fully cooperate with any criminal or administrative investigation of alleged misconduct by any of our personnel, on or off duty.” said Deputy Chief Patrol Agent Raul L. Ortiz.
