Thirty-five law enforcement officers from multiple agencies attended the academy; made possible through cooperation of the U.S. Border Patrol, Office of Field Operations, and the Department of Public Safety. Each agency provided instructors for the 40-hour class covering funeral operations and procedures for other ceremonial events.

Tucson Sector is committed to working in multiple capacities with local, state, federal and tribal law enforcement agencies. Honor Guard training benefits all participating southern Arizona law enforcement agencies by certifying members who will continue and pass along time-honored traditions.

The Tucson Sector Honor Guard has participated in more than 65 events so far this fiscal year.
