Edinburg, Texas- U.S. Border Patrol agents from the Rio Grande Valley sector rescued an illegal alien, who is six months pregnant.

Agents assigned to the Falfurrias Border Patrol station rescued the pregnant woman early this morning after she called 911 and said she was lost and in distress. GPS coordinates obtained from the call helped guide the agents to the woman.

The woman, an 18-year-old citizen of Mexico, requested medical attention and was transported to Christus Spohn Hospital Kleberg in Kingsville, Texas, for evaluation. After being medically cleared she will be processed for return to Mexico.

So far this year, agents from the Rio Grande Valley sector have rescued 10 illegal aliens who became distressed while attempting to illegally enter the U.S. or while circumventing a traffic checkpoint on foot.
