When agents approached, the group dispersed into the thick brush and fled to Mexico. Upon searching the area, agents found more than 800 pounds of marijuana abandoned in the brush.
Several additional seizures brought the total amount of marijuana netted over the four-day span to more than 4,700 pounds.
