FRONTON, Texas - Border Patrol agents assigned to Rio Grande City Station seized 652 pounds of marijuana on Dec. 7.
Agents conducting line watch operations near were responding to a suspicious vehicle driving north. After a brief search, the vehicle was encountered abandoned with the doors open. Agents followed foot sign for a short distance and came across 29 bricks of marijuana left near a fence line.
The narcotics and vehicle were transported to the Rio Grande City Station for processing. A thorough search for the subjects yielded negative results.
