Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol catches two subjects charged with sex crimes
EDINBURG, Texas – On Monday, October 30, 2017, agents assigned to the Falfurrias Border Patrol Station apprehended a Honduran national near Falfurrias, Texas. Record checks revealed the male subject was arrested in 2013 by the Richmond, California Sheriff’s Office for the charge of Assault with Intent to Commit Rape.
Two days later, Rio Grande City agents captured a male Mexican national as he attempted to illegally enter the United States near Roma, Texas. Record checks disclosed that he was arrested in Florida in 2014 and convicted of Sexual Assault of a Child. He was sentenced to 36 days in jail, followed by two years of probation.
All subjects are being processed accordingly.
