Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol captures convicted killer and multiple sex offenders

EDINBURG, Texas – On Saturday, November 25, 2017, agents assigned to the McAllen Border Patrol Station apprehended a Mexican national near Cuevitas, Texas. Record checks revealed the male subject was arrested in 2008 by the Federal Way, Washington Police Department and convicted of Manslaughter. He was sentenced to 23 months in prison.

In separate incidents between Tuesday, November 21 and Sunday, November 26, Rio Grande Valley Sector agents caught five sexual predators attempting to enter the United States illegally. The male subjects were nationals of Mexico and El Salvador. Their convictions included Sexual Assault of a Child, Rape, Indecent Liberties with a Child, Illicit Sexual Contact, and Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. Sentences ranged from one year to 10 years in prison.

All subjects are being processed accordingly.
