Rio Grande Valley agents seize $2.1 million in cocaine at checkpoint
FALFURRIAS, Texas – Border Patrol agents seize cocaine hidden in vehicle after a K-9 alerts.
Sunday afternoon, Border Patrol agents assigned to the Falfurrias checkpoint seized over 65 pounds of cocaine with an estimated value of $2.1 million. A gray pickup truck was referred to secondary inspection after a service K9 alerted to the vehicle. Agents discovered more than two dozen bundles of the narcotic hidden within the vehicle’s quarter panels.
The driver, an adult male, was arrested. Both the vehicle and narcotics were seized.
