RGV Border Patrol Sector Chief Manuel Padilla, Jr. welcomes National Guard
EDINBURG, Texas – On Thursday, April 19, Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Border Patrol Sector Chief Patrol Agent (CPA), Manuel Padilla, Jr. welcomed National Guard personnel at the Victoria Palms Conference Center in Donna, Texas.
CPA Padilla, RGV command staff, and National Guard command staff, provided an orientation to Border Patrol operations and a mission overview of Operation Guardian Support. National Guard personnel also met with their Border Patrol counterparts and leadership of stations they could be supporting as early as tomorrow. Participants engaged in discussions regarding National Guard duties, which would essentially return hundreds of Border Patrol agents back to the frontline.
“On behalf of the men and women of the Rio Grande Valley Sector, we look forward to coordinating efforts, the green and the guard, to ensure the safety of our communities and the United States of America,” said Chief Patrol Agent Manuel Padilla, Jr.
CPA Padilla concluded with a question, answer session, and thanked the National Guard personnel for their selfless service.
