BOTTINEAU, N.D. - Grand Forks Sector Border Patrol Agents arrest and prosecute Illegal Alien.
On August 30, 2018, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Bottineau Station agents apprehended Rafael PUEBLA-Zamora for being illegally present in the United States. Record checks revealed PUEBLA-Zamora, a Mexican National, was previously removed from the United States on multiple occasions.
On January 16, 2020, in U.S. District Court, Fargo, North Dakota, PUEBLA-Zamora was convicted by jury trial on one count of 8 USC 1326(a) and sentenced to 504 days (time served).
All persons apprehended by the U.S. Border Patrol undergo criminal history checks using biometrics to ensure illegal aliens with criminal histories are positively identified.
