CBP officers at the Dennis DeConcini Crossing referred a 29-year-old woman for further inspection of her Acura Coupe on Thursday afternoon. A CBP narcotics detection canine alerted to a scent it was trained to detect within the vehicle.

Officers removed more than 70 packages from throughout the vehicle. The drugs were identified as more than 87 pounds of methamphetamine, worth more than $261,000 as well as six pounds of fentanyl, with an estimated value almost $82,000.

Officers seized the drugs as well as the vehicle. The subject was arrested and then turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
