More than $276,000 worth of cocaine were seized by CBP officers at the Port of Nogales

TUCSON, Ariz. – Customs and Border Protection officers at the DeConcini crossing selected a Chevrolet SUV, driven by Martin Ocano, 51, of Nogales, Ariz., for a secondary inspection and found more than 26 pounds of cocaine worth $276,000.

After seizing his vehicle and drugs, officers arrested Ocano and turned him over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation's borders at and between the official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.
