Release Date:
December 27, 2017

FALFURRIAS, Texas - U.S. Border Patrol agents found nine illegal aliens concealed in a rental truck.

Today, in the early morning hours, agents assigned to the Falfurrias Checkpoint were conducting immigration inspections when a rental truck, driven by a United States citizen, approached the primary inspection lane. As agents spoke to the driver, a Border Patrol K9 alerted to the rear of the rental truck. Upon investigation, agents discovered nine illegal aliens concealed within the cargo. The temperature inside the rental truck at the time of discovery was recorded at 70.1 degrees Fahrenheit. All subjects were offered medical attention but declined. The driver was arrested.

The illegal aliens were from Mexico and Guatemala.

The public is encouraged to get involved and help save lives by calling 911 if they see or are aware of these dangerous smuggling tactics, “They’re humans, not cargo!”
