Naco Border Patrol Station Hosting Citizens Academy

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Brian A. Terry Border Patrol Station is taking applications from the public to attend their Border Patrol Citizens Academy now through February 14, 2020.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be approved to attend. Interested applicants can submit themselves for the class by contacting Border Patrol Supervisor Sean Ludden at (520)-307-0892.

The Citizens Academy provides community members an in-depth look into border security missions and related areas of law enforcement. Through classes, discussions, scenarios, and demonstrations, participants will gain a better understanding of U.S. Customs and Border Protection operations and the methods agents utilize in their law enforcement duties.

Attendees will receive an overview of the laws agents must know prior to graduating from the U.S. Border Patrol Academy, as well as the laws agents enforce.

The Citizens Academy will be held Tuesdays, 5-8:30 p.m., at the Brian A. Terry Border Patrol Station in Bisbee, Feb. 25 through April. 7.
