SNOHOMISH, Wash. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recruiters will be at the Spartan Race in Snohomish on Saturday and Sunday to answer questions and provide information about careers with CBP.

The primary responsibility of CBP officers is to protect the Nation by detecting and preventing terrorists and their weapons from entering the U.S. while facilitating the orderly flow of legitimate trade and travel. CBP officers perform a wide array of duties at the 328 ports of entry located at airports, sea ports and land borders. These duties include, but are not limited to: conveyance and traveler inspection, passenger and cargo analysis, examination, and law enforcement activities relating to revenue and trade, seizure of contraband, interdiction of agricultural pests and diseases, and admissibility of travelers.
The event will be held Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Meadow Wood Equestrian Center, 18601 Sky Meadows Lane, Snohomish, WA 98290.
