LAREDO, Texas – Laredo Sector Border Patrol Chief Patrol Agent Mario Martinez, presented new insignia ranks, and certificates to 18 Border Patrol agents and 2 promotion certificates to sector employees during a ceremony on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at The Vidal M. Trevino School of Communications and Fine Arts.
The selection and promotion of today’s ceremony included promotion ranks from Deputy Chief Patrol Agent, Division Chief, Assistant Chief Patrol Agent, Patrol Agent in Charge, Deputy Patrol Agent in Charge, Watch Commander, Operations Officer, Supervisory Border Patrol Agent, and Mission Support Specialist. A special recognition was given to Border Patrol Agent Josue Gonzalez who was recently awarded the Congressional Badge of Bravery.
“I am privileged and proud to lead the men and women of the Laredo Sector Border Patrol. Every day presents a new opportunity to do more for our country, employees and organization. It is no longer about you, it is about setting an example in the workplace and the community in which you serve,” said Chief Patrol Agent Mario Martinez.
The Laredo Border Patrol Sector currently has over 1,700 Border Patrol Agents and support personnel.
