Laredo Sector Border Patrol Arrests MS-13 Gang Member
LAREDO, Texas – On August 15, 2017, Border Patrol agents arrested a Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang member near Hebbronville, Texas. The subject, Andres Oliva-Ayala, was encountered with a group of four illegal aliens that were attempting to be smuggled further into the United States. The subject had an extensive criminal history, which included a felony conviction for possession of a controlled substance and firearm where he received a 30-year jail sentence. The subject, from El Salvador, had been previously deported from the United States in 2004.
