Laredo Sector Border Patrol Agents Seize Over 500 Pounds of Marijuana

LAREDO, Texas – On February 28, 2018, Border Patrol agents seized over 526 pounds of marijuana after responding to suspicious activity near Santa Maria Avenue in Laredo, Texas. Agents encountered numerous subjects with bundles and were able to arrest five individuals while three subjects absconded back to Mexico. Agents seized six bundles of marijuana, which had an estimated value of $421,360.00. All five subjects arrested were determined to be from the country of Mexico and one subject was identified as a juvenile.  The marijuana and four adult subjects were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
