Laredo Sector Border Patrol Agents Rescue Illegal Aliens in Distress

LAREDO, Texas – On February 27, 2018, Border Patrol agents responded to a request for assistance involving an individual lost in a ranch northwest of Hebbronville, Texas.  Border Patrol agents arrived on scene and located the subject in good health.  The subject was determined to be from the country of Mexico and illegally in the United States. 

Later that afternoon, Border Patrol agents responded to a request for assistance involving an individual in distress near Zapata, Texas.  The subject claimed he was unable to walk due to excruciating pain in his feet.  Border Patrol agents arrived on scene and located the subject who was evaluated by a Border Patrol Agent certified as an Emergency Medical Technician.  The subject was determined to be from the country of Mexico and illegally in the United States. 

“These events illustrate how the men and women of the United States Border Patrol not only serve to protect our borders, but are also committed to the preservation of life and assist anyone in need,” said Assistant Chief Patrol Agent Gabriel H. Acosta.
