LAREDO, Texas – On March 10, 2018, Border Patrol agents responded to a request for assistance from the Webb County Sheriff’s Office regarding a roll-over vehicle accident on Highway 59, east of Laredo, Texas. Border Patrol agents certified as Emergency Medical Technicians arrived on scene and immediately assisted by evaluating the two female occupants of the vehicle and rendering first aid.
The two female occupants were transported to a nearby hospital in Laredo for further medical treatment. Neither sustained life-threatening injuries.
“These events illustrate how the men and women of the United States Border Patrol not only serve to protect our borders, but are also committed to the preservation of life and assist anyone in need,” said Assistant Chief Patrol Agent Gabriel H. Acosta.
