LAREDO, Texas – On July 15, 2018, Border Patrol Agents assigned to the Hebbronville Station were responding to illegal activity involving a white Chevrolet Silverado near Benavides, TX. Agents provided the vehicle description to the Duval County Sheriff’s Office who later encountered the vehicle on FM 2295. Upon noticing the presence of law enforcement, the vehicle turned off the road, drove through a fence and struck a utility pole, rendering the vehicle inoperable. Immediately after, the occupants abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.
Agents arrived to the scene of the accident, and with the assistance of aerial support from CBP Air and Marine Operations, located and arrested 11 illegal aliens. All subjects were found in good health and were identified as being from the countries of Mexico and Guatemala. All subjects were processed accordingly. The vehicle seized by the Duval County Sheriff’s Office.
