TUCSON, Ariz. – Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents from the Willcox Station worked with Cochise County Sheriff’s Office and the Willcox Police Department to stop a sedan near Benson early Sunday with four suspected illegal aliens inside.

CCSO deputies and Willcox Police officers spotted a Chrysler Sedan near Willcox, which earlier had fled from Border Patrol agents in Lordsburg. The Chrysler continued fleeing but eventually stopped in Benson where the occupants attempted to escape on foot. Willcox Border Patrol agents and Willcox Police officers captured and arrested the four occupants; all illegally present in the U.S.

During processing at the Willcox Border Station, agents identified three passengers as Guatemalan nationals who entered the country without authorization. The driver, a 25-year-old Mexican woman, was also in the U.S. illegally.

All four individuals are being charged for immigration violations. The driver, who also faces prosecution for alien smuggling, was cited by the Willcox Police for exceeding 85 miles per hour, reckless driving and driving without a license.
