ERIE, Pa. - Erie Marine Unit and Erie Border Patrol Station displayed law enforcement vehicles and equipment at the Erie Lights, Sirens and Safety Expo, held on April 11 and 12. Marine Interdiction and Border Patrol agents met with the public, answering questions on CBP operations along with recruitment information. The two-day event included a variety of local, state and federal agencies and first responders from Erie County, Pa.
The event was an excellent opportunity to showcase CBP operations in northwest Pennsylvania and to interact with visitors. “Children are particularly fascinated with heavy equipment and really enjoyed tours of the Air and Marine vessel and Border Patrol vehicle,” said Marine Interdiction Agent Jon Rose. Agents from Erie Marine Unit and Erie Border Patrol Station entertained a myriad of questions from patrons ranging from border security to employment opportunities over the two-day event.
CBP’s Office of Air and Marine is now hiring Air and Marine Interdiction Agents. The job application period closes April 17, 2015.
