El Paso, Texas - U.S. Customs and Border Protection El Paso Director of Field Operations Ana B. Hinojosa was the guest speaker at El Paso city council member Emma Acosta's weekly constituent meeting Sept. 8.
DFO Hinojosa introduced guests to the work being done by CBP by playing the "CBP Field Operations: Protecting America 24/7" video. She then discussed local operations at El Paso area ports of entry before entertaining questions from the audience and local media.
DFO Hinojosa stressed the commitment of CBP to the anti-terror mission and how CBP officers routinely intercept dangerous people that helps maintain El Paso's position as one of the safest large cities in the United States.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation's borders at and between the official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.
