El Centro Sector Border Patrol Arrests Man Wanted for Homicide

BRAWLEY, CALIF.—On Wednesday, Indio Station Border Patrol Agents arrested two men illegally present in the United States and discovered one had an active warrant for homicide out of Mexico.

The arrest occurred at approximately 11 a.m., The El Centro Sector International Liaison Unit, along with other CBP enforcement entities, confirmed the suspect's identity through fingerprint verification and immigration record checks. Both men will remain in CBP custody until final disposition and deportation back to their country of origin.

Through vigilance and professionalism, the United States Border Patrol maintains a strong enforcement posture to detect and prevent the entry of dangerous criminals from entering our country. The collaborative effort of our CBP partners to arrest international criminals demonstrates service to country and to national security.
