El Centro Sector Border Patrol Arrests Lead to Prosecution and Conviction for 10 Illegal Immigrants
IMPERIAL VALLEY, CALIF.—El Centro Sector Border Patrol enforcement operations have led to the recent arrest, conviction, and successful sentencing of 10 illegal immigrants, all of which had prior convictions for other crimes.
The apprehensions took place earlier this year near the cities of Calexico, El Centro, and Indio, California. The illegal immigrants, many of which have extensive criminal histories, were presented for prosecution on federal criminal charges and sentenced accordingly.

ROSAS-Lopez, Ulises | Sentenced 33 months in federal prison |
MARTINEZ-Hernandez, Edgar | Sentenced 24 months in federal prison |
VELASCO-Sumano, Quirino | Sentenced 18 months in federal prison |
RODRIGUEZ-Leyva, Juan Carlos | Sentenced 21 months in federal prison |
ANALCO-Gutierrez, Santos | Sentenced 30 months in federal prison |
TRUJILLO-Cano, Jose Luis | Sentenced 12 months in federal prison |
The convicted individuals will be formally deported to their country of origin after serving their prison sentences.
