Drummond Island Reporting Station to Close for the Boating Season

SAULT STE MARIE, MICH.—U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) today announced the anticipated closure of the Drummond Island reporting station for the 2013 summer boating season.

With the end of summer, boating traffic has come to a standstill and the Drummond Island reporting station is expected to end daily scheduled service on September 30. After September 30 all staffing will cease and vessels will no longer be able to report there. Vessels can still report in at George Kemp Marina in the city of Sault Ste Marie, Michigan.
