CBP officers assigned to the Port of Douglas seized nearly 96 pounds of marijuana from the tires of a smuggling vehicle.

TUCSON, Ariz. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers assigned to the Port of Douglas arrested a 56-year-old man from Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico on Feb. 23 after finding nearly 96 pounds of marijuana concealed inside the tires of his Dodge truck.

Officers seized the marijuana, worth nearly $48,000, and vehicle. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations took custody of the man.
