TUCSON, Ariz. – Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a 40-year-old Douglas woman during a failed smuggling incident Wednesday (July 22) at the Port of Douglas.
During an inspection of her Mercury van, officers discovered more than 258 pounds of marijuana concealed throughout the vehicle, worth in excess of $129,000.
Officers seized the drugs and vehicle. The subject was arrested and she was referred the subject to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
