A CBP narcotics detection canine alerted to the front hood of a smuggling vehicle, which was loaded with packages of marijuana

TUCSON, Ariz. – Customs and Border Protection officers at the Port of Douglas (Raul Hector Castro POE) arrested a Mexican national Tuesday for an alleged attempt to smuggle more than 226 pounds of marijuana worth approximately $113,000.

Officers arrested Ana Erika Christian, 39, after finding more than 200 packages of marijuana hidden throughout her Honda SUV.

Officers seized the drugs and vehicle, and turned Christian over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
