Douglas Border Patrol Agents Arrest Convicted Kidnapper

TUCSON, Ariz. – Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents from the Douglas Station arrested two Mexican nationals, a man and woman, Thursday night near 9th and H Street in Douglas, Arizona for entering the United States illegally.

During processing, agents discovered the man, 29-year-old Victorino Rosado-Morales, was arrested in 2008 by the Arizona Department of Public Safety in Maricopa County and subsequently convicted of felony kidnapping.

Rosado will be criminally prosecuted for illegal re-entry of a felon into the U.S. The woman, age 39, was administratively removed from the United States.

All individuals apprehended by the Border Patrol undergo criminal history checks using biometrics to ensure illegal immigrants with criminal histories are positively identified.
