Del Rio, Texas - On Tuesday, September 18th, Del Rio Border Patrol agents received information of a possible drowning victim being swept away by the water currents of the Rio Grande River, approximately one mile north of the Del Rio Port of Entry. Del Rio Station Border Patrol agents responded and rescued a man who was clinging to the cane along the U.S. river bank.
The man was transferred to Del Rio Medical Services for medical evaluation before being released to the custody of the Border Patrol.
