EDINBURG, Texas – Rio Grande Valley Sector agents arrested two criminal migrants with serious criminal history, to include kidnapping, murder, and sexual contact charges.

On Saturday, March 26, Rio Grande City Border Patrol Station agents arrested a group of 12 single adult migrants from Mexico, Peru, Honduras, and Guatemala in Roma, Texas. It was discovered through criminal record checks that a Honduran male within the group was arrested in 2000 in Wake County, North Carolina, for kidnapping and accessory after the fact; murder, both first-degree felonies. The subject was convicted and sentenced to 12 years’ confinement.

That same day, McAllen Border Patrol Station (MCS) agents encountered a 32-year-old Honduran man that had illegally entered into the United States. The man, later identified as, Jose Luis Reyes, was transported to the station where record checks revealed a previous arrest by the Houston Police Department for Indecency Sexual Contact of a 9 and 16 year old female child in 2008. He was subsequently found guilty and sentence to 2 years confinement.

All subjects were processed accordingly.
