Cocaine, Counterfeit Viagra and Undeclared Currency Seized by CBP in San Juan and Aguadilla

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seized cocaine, counterfeit Viagra and undeclared currency inside several packages that were inspected over the long weekend at the Air Cargo facilities at the Luis Munoz Marin and Rafael Hernández international airports.  A display of the 960 tablet of fake Viagra

In San Juan, the CBP Contraband Enforcement unit found 2.12 kilos of cocaine inside a package that was sent to New York, which contained ten (10) wooden boxes of soap. The cocaine was layered within the boxes.  In another package sent to Pennsylvania, officers found 331 grams of cocaine inside the rings of five shower curtains.

The total estimated value of the seized cocaine is $63,726.

In addition, CBP officers found a package with 960 tablets of Viagra 100 MG.  The merchandise is counterfeit due to low quality of the product and packaging.  If the items were genuine, the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of the package is $68,160.

In Aguadilla, CBP officers found 1.4 kilos of cocaine concealed inside various packages destined to Thailand, Spain, Israel, and Canada.  The estimated value of the seized cocaine is $36,400.

Furthermore, a courier service requested assistance from CBP on a package sent from New York with incomplete information.  A CBP K9 alerted to a suspicious odor.  The package was opened finding a vacuum-sealed bag with undeclared currency, totally $29,400.
