CBP Officers Seize $77K Marijuana Load

TUCSON, Ariz. – A 46-year-old Hereford, Ariz. man was arrested Oct. 17 for attempting to smuggle approximately 155 pounds of marijuana through the Port of Naco.

Customs and Border Protection officers referred a Chevrolet truck driven by Francisco Norberto Quilihua for further inspection and found 53 packages of marijuana. Officers found the packages under the back seat as well as the side quarter panels with an estimated value of $77,000.

Officers seized the drugs and vehicle, and referred Quilihua to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
