CBP Officers Arrest Wanted Person at Cut Bank Airport

CUT BANK, MONT.—U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers arrested a male U.S. citizen at the Cut Bank Airport on an active federal warrant on February 6.

At about 8:30 p.m. CBP officers from the port of Sweet Grass, Mont. arrested Keaton Bell, 24, wanted for federal firearms violations, as he arrived on a plane from Canada. The subject was turned over to Glacier County Sheriff's office.

"CBP officers using our database tools affected the arrest of this fugitive after confirming the warrant in the National Crime Information Center database. This wanted fugitive will face pending charges in Colorado thanks to the outstanding vigilance of our frontline officers," said Larry Overcast, Sweet Grass Port Director.

The National Crime Information Center is a centralized automated data base designed to share information among law enforcement agencies including outstanding warrants for a wide range of offenses. These warrants are for a wide range of offenses and include money laundering, robbery, narcotics distribution, sexual abuse of children, violation of protection orders, fraud, failure to appear, larceny and military desertion.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation's borders at and between the official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.
