ALEXANDRIA BAY, N.Y.—U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced today the arrest of a U.S. citizen wanted on drug charges.
On June 23, CBP officers working at the Alexandria Bay port of entry encountered 20-year-old Shely Ramoo, a U.S. citizen from East Stroudsburg, Pa.
When Ramoo was encountered, CBP officers were alerted to an active warrant out of Pennsylvania for failure to appear on dangerous drug charges.
CBP officers verified the warrant and confirmed extradition to Pennsylvania. Ramoo was arrested by CBP and turned over to the custody of the New York State Police pending extradition.
