TUCSON, Ariz. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Port of Nogales seized nearly 50 pounds of methamphetamine Wednesday morning worth approximately $144,000.
Officers at the Dennis DeConcini crossing were searching a Chrysler van, driven by a 29-year-old Phoenix woman, when they found multiple packages of the drug inside the quarter panels.
Officers seized the drugs and vehicle. The subject was arrested and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
